Our 7th Wedding Anniversary

This year the traditional anniversary gift theme was Copper and Wool. David got me a nice wool scarf and I made him a piece of art out of pennies.

There are seven pennies each for: the year David was born, the year I was born, the year we were married, the year Sarah was born, the year Lincoln was born, and the year of our 7th anniversary, 2011. We are "lucky" to have each other!

David was working out of town on our anniversary so I decided to surprise him and go to him. I showed up at his hotel in Fresno and he was VERY surprised. He took me to lunch at a really yummy deli and then took me to see Twilight-Breaking Dawn. It was a lovely afternoon! For not knowing I was coming, he treated me to a very nice date. He got called to work while we were at the movie so once we got out we kind of had to hurry and get him to work, but not before stopping at In-N-Out for a chocolate shake. I dropped him off at the Fresno yard office and was home by 9pm. I must say, it was one of the best anniversaries we have had. I know this will sound completely cliche, but we just keep falling more and more in love with each other every day we are together, which has been 3083 days since our first date!

I am so lucky to have married such an amazing friend. He is my favorite person in the whole world. I love spending time with him and I love watching him interact with our kids. He is an awesome dad and the kids adore him! And so do I!!!

These are our texts when it turned midnight on our anniversary. We usually compete to see who is the first to say happy anniversary.
I win!

:D
