Day After Thanksgiving Party

EVERYONE'S INVITED!!!!

Here's the deal...I sent the invitations out last week and hoped everyone would get their invitation in the mail by last Thursday, but I have checked with several people and they still had not been delivered. Hopefully they get to people today, but if you do not receive one in time or not at all, here is a copy of the invitation with the details on when and where the party is.

I hope you can all make it given the late notice and all.

Happy Birthday, Mom/Grandma!

Stuff in September

Here are some random things we did in September:

We went to watch Grandma Glenda play volleyball.

I took this picture of Sarah sleeping ON her boppy. She gets into the weirdest positions while she sleeps.

On our way down to the temple for ward temple night, our car broke down at Fort Tejon. Luckily, the Rays and the Villanueva's were not too far behind us so they picked us up and everything was fine. Well, except for waiting until 2am for AAA to tow our car. Thanks guys for being AMAZING friends! I don't know what we do without them!
Well, while we waited for them to pick us up(us being David, Me, Jason, & Maribel) we walked around Fort Tejon. It was pretty cool.

I almost stepped on this snake. I could have died! =)

David shared his ribs with Sarah. She loved them, just like her father.

The Young's House

So, David had the opportunity to go with Mikey up to Palo Alto (on 9/24) to "help" him work on Steve Young's closet for their new house. Yes, it's the Steve Young your thinking of, the same one who played for the San Fransisco 49ers. Well, he's a friend of a friend of Mikey's and they have done some cabinet work on a house they are building. David took some pictures while he was there and the house is pretty amazing. They have a huge ballet room for the little girls downstairs, a play room that has some really cool ideas incorporated into it, and amazing bathrooms. Let's just say, a lot of thought has gone into this house. Well, here are a few pictures, but they don't even begin to show how cool this house is. I didn't want to put too many on the internet, I felt like I would be invading their privacy a little.

This is Barbara's side of the closet. There are lights to light up the clothes and shoes and everything is enclosed and this is just a small section of it. I would LOVE to have her closet!!!

Isn't that a cute idea. They turned the space under the stairs into a playhouse. That's the kind of "thought" I was referring to. Ideas like that are all over the house!

Summer Fun

Sarah didn't swim a whole lot this summer, but she did get in the pool with Grandpa Smith a few times. This particular time she wasn't sure about the water, but she usually loves it.
(9/20/09)
The Kirks are great friends and invited us to an Angels vs. Yankees game this season. It was Sarah's first MLB game. Shelley's cousin, Brian Fuentes, is the closing pitcher for the Angels and was able to sign a bunch of stuff for David, Scott, Tyler, and Gaye. We also got to watch him make another save (which David had to explain to me). Gus and Jenna met us there and we all went to eat at a hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant after the game. It was a good time for everyone.

*I just noticed the guy in the bottom right corner...haha.

"Summer" Helmet

(9/12/09)

I decorated Sarah's helmet with some bright flower stickers so she would be fashionable this summer wearing her helmet. She was stylin'!

Play 'till she drops!

Sarah loves to play with Brody...

...she just needs a little break sometimes.

(took place on 9/11/09)

Harvest

This is my carrot and onion harvest! Not much, but I am still proud. I am pleased to report that we ate most of the carrots and a couple onions.

Mikey + Larissa

Mikey and Larissa got married on August 28, 2009. They looked amazing as usual, the ceremony was beautiful, and the reception went well. David was one of the groomsmen as well as one of the photographers. I am so happy they found each other!

I love this picture of Sarah and Carter. She looks crazy and he is looking at her like she is crazy...this is usually how they are.

Sorry.

I was looking back on our pictures to see what I needed to blog about and I found an overwhelming amount of things I failed to mention so here it goes...

I will be posting each event separately because it looks better that way in the book and it's just easier for me to keep track of, so if you have google reader you will see A LOT of updates from me and I apologize ahead of time for that.

Sincerely,
L
