bunting winner

"bunting winner" is the title of the most recent post of one of my most favorite bloggers. Yes, I did win something, but that is not what she was referring to. She was giving away a bunting that says 'autumn' on it. And I WON!
I love winning things and this was just too ironic that I would win a bunting of all things. She left a comment on our blog and David came in to get me and asked, "did she know your last name is Bunting?" So, anyway, I am very excited for my autumn bunting to arrive and I suggest you all check out The Adventures of Rory and Jess and Sadie...it is way cute!
She also posted a tutorial on how to make this cute little bunting...=)

9/11

My heart is very heavy as I write this post and I am fighting back tears as I remember this day day 8 years ago. It's weird because at the time I wasn't emotional at all and really I had no idea what was going on or the magnitude of the situation. I was a senior in high school and I remember walking into my 1st period history class, not having any clue what had already happened. I saw that the t.v. was on and a few people were already in class talking about it. I thought that it was just a movie we were going to watch and I think I even asked someone what movie it was (I wasn't very quick). I can't remember exactly what I did after that, I think we all went home, but I am not sure. I do remember my boyfriend at the time coming over in tears and I thought he was being such a baby for crying over some buildings being knocked down. It still hadn't sunk in to me that people were in the buildings. I didn't even begin to think this was an intentional attack on our country until someone told me, I don't remember how long after it happened that was. Once everything finally registered with me and I knew this was a terrorist attack, I was angry, sad, and confused along with the rest of country. I will never be able to know what those who lost loved ones went through, but I can only imagine how hard and painful that would be. This is a day I will never forget as long as I live.

9-month-old Sarah

Sarah went to the doctor at 9 months and weighed in at 17lbs. 7oz. which puts her in the 25%, which is where she has been since birth. She was 28.75in. long putting her in the 75%, also where she has been all along pretty much. Her head is in the 50%. So she is still tall and skinny with and average sized head...sounds about right.

The doctor said she is low on iron and prescribed her some vitamin drops with iron.
I switched doctors and I LOVE Dr. Ho's office!

Sarah still LOVES her bath. It is probablly her FAVORITE time of the day.
She LOVES her daddy.
She LOVES Brody. She gets so excited to see him when she wakes up in the morning. I pick her up and right away she starts straining her neck to look around for him.
She LOVES food. She has liked everything I have given her so far and I have pretty much given her everything I eat.
She doesn't mind her helmet AT ALL.
She crawls EVERYWHERE and gets into EVERYTHING.
She walks along the furniture and gets really EXCITED about it. She is very proud of herself.
She LOVES to see herself in the mirror.
She HATES getting her diaper changed. She moves so much it is almost a 2 person job.
She doesn't care much for getting dressed either, mostly because it requires her holding still for a second.
She likes to sit up while drinking her bottle and pretty much insists on it.
She HATES her vitamin drops.
She LOVES her pacifier.
She LOVES to chase the cat and the cat just teases her by waiting until Sarah is almost there and then moving 2 feet away.
She still thinks Uncle Jimmy is the funniest looking guy she has ever seen. He always makes her laugh just by looking at her.
She likes to steal Brody's toys.
She LOVES being outside. She watches Daddy mow the lawn and whines to get out the entire time.
She is still a pretty good sleeper, but likes to cuddle in the mornings.
She LOVES her grandma's and gets so excited to see them.
She prefers her sippy cup over her bottle.
She plays PEEK-A-BOO and is just about the cutest thing I have ever seen.
She is a mover. She just keeps going and going and going and going...

Another funny fact about Sarah. When she first started walking along furniture she could only go left. So she would walk along the fireplace from the right side to the left and then get stuck in the corner of the fireplace. She would have to sit down, crawl to the other side again, and start over. She has since learned to walk to the right so she will not get tease in school. Whew! =)
