Easter 2009

Me and my girl.

I saw these on a blog and I just had to make them. David helped.

My mom bought me strawberry plants for Easter...yeah!

I wanted flowers in my garden for Easter so my wonderful husband was out at 11:30pm Saturday night with a flashlight planting my marigolds. They were beautiful!

Sarah's new swing from Grandma. She loves it!

Mom's amazing carrot cake decorated super cute for Easter.

We were fancy this year with real plates and silverware.

I made these paper globes a while ago and just found a purpose for them. Brody helped me paint the pots...can you tell which one he did?

This was probably the best Easter I have ever had; however, Sarah might have had something to do with that. We woke up, rushed off to church, came home and started cooking dinner and getting ready for our guests, ate dinner with the family (ham, corn pudding, green bean casserole, frog-eye salad, and rolls), went to Uncle David's (the kids had already gone home so that was sad) and visited a while, then went to the McGee's to visit with them. It was a great way to celebrate the resurrection of our Savior.

Pictures

Uncle Jimmy bought her this onesie and hat when he went to Hawaii. It is baby Hurley. She approves. "Thanks Uncle Jimmy!"

Sarah hanging out with her girlfriends at Mom's & Tot's.
Poor girl has a lazy eye just like her mama. Mine is bad when I first wake up and apparently, so is Sarah's.
She is starting to hold her own bottle. Too cute!
Sarah, Lucy's doll, and an Easter bunny; all cute things, but even cuter together.

Sarah and Carter.

Sarah really enjoys trying to stick her whole hand in her mouth.

Sarah's first pair of flip flops. Jen gave us these and I just had to take a picture before she kicked them off because they were so cute between her toes.As you can see, she didn't enjoy the shoes as much as I did.
Much happier without the shoes.

The Care Bear

Here is a picture of Sarah sleeping with her care bear. I gave it to her one night to replace my hand and it worked and now she sleeps with it every night.

Kids are weird

So, I have been watching some kids lately. I watch my nephew, Brody (3), Monday through Saturday 7:30-6 and my cousins two kids, Michael (2 1/2) and Emma (1 1/2) on Tuesday and Wednesday 12-6. It has been a little tough, especially the days when I have 4 kids under 3, but I am adjusting. I have a new found respect for moms of multiples, I can't even imagine having 1 1/2 year old triplets. I have also learned that kids do wierd things sometimes and it makes me laugh. Here is a great example:

I had taken a frozen pizza out to make for lunch and when I turned around this is what I saw. They were taking turns putting the cold pizza up against each others bare bellies and they thought that was so funny. It was pretty funny.

My Girl

Some things about Sarah:
-she loves to hold my hand (well, anyone's hand)
-she sleeps with one arm over a Care Bear...super cute
-she talks a lot
-her laugh is the sweetest thing I have ever heard
-she loves kids, especially if they are running around and jumping and dancing
-she loves her daddy. He has been putting her to sleep every night and she sleeps so much better.
-she loves the giraffe David bought her for Christmas. We named her Rosie.
-she loves having her diaper changed
-she loves just being on her changing table
-she loves her cousin Brody and thinks he is pretty funny
-she loves to sleep...sometimes she sleeps almost 12 hours straight at night
-she loves her pacifiers...she learned how to grab it and take it out, but can't figure out how to put it back in.
-she has been teething and is drooling A LOT
-she' the cutest thing I have ever seen and I LOVE HER!

Need Sod?

Anyone want about 10 pieces of sod? We don't want it to go to waste so if you want it, let us know!
It is tall fescue.

(and, yes, we put sod in our backyard, FINALLY...that post to come later.)

Family Night @ China Bistro

My cousin Christopher came to visit for a few days last week so my Grandpa took us all out to dinner at China Bistro in the Marketplace. We had a good time talking and the kids had fun running around tackling each other.

Chris and Emma (side note: Christopher thought it would be funny to lick Emma's head like a cat...Emma loved it...it was pretty funny. He tried licking Sarah, but she has too much hair...it was kinda gross.)

Grandpa Smith and Sarah

Ron and Chelsea

It looks like Brody has Michael in a choke hold.

Brilliant Idea!

Sarah's not crawling yet, but when she does...I totally want her to wear this. This is hilarious!
