Bumbo

We have put Sarah in the Bumbo a few times at the dinner table and she doesn't mind it, but today when I put her in it on the kitchen counter, (don't worry...I was right there), she got SO excited! She loved being able to watch me make lunch...hot dogs...yummy!

Sarah's Mobile

Here is the mobile I made for Sarah from cereal boxes and straws.
She LOVES it!

Sarah's view:

My view:
I just backed each circle with another circle turned the opposite way so that it would look pretty from above too.

Doll Cakes

As promised, here is a pictures of the doll cakes we made for New Beginnings:

EBHS Girls Basketball

I never posted anything about coaching the girls frosh/soph basketball team at East and I thought I probably should. Of 10 girls, only 2 had played basketball before, so it was definitely a year of learning. The girls were hilarious during the games when the referee's would call something and they would ask me why. During one game, the shot clock went off after I kept yelling, "shoot it, shoot it," and they all turned and asked, "what was that!" When I explained it, they were mad that I had never told them about it before. I just figured EVERYONE knew that. That is just one example, this happened all the time. Well, we went 0-14, but the girls got better and better each game and they had fun, so I guess it was a good season. 14 Seniors graduated this year so it is a little scary to think that most of my team will be on Varsity next year, but I think they will step it up now that they know how the game works. It was interesting coaching while I was pregnant and the other coaches were impressed at how quickly I came back after having Sarah, but I think it was good for me and helped me heal faster and get back to normal. Until Sarah was at least a month, I would just leave her with David, Gaye, or my mom while I went to practice, but once she was a little older I just put her in the baby Bjorn or left her in the car seat during practice and she loved it. She also came to every game and usually slept through the whole game. My mom and Gaye took turns watching her at the games...they are Great! Here are a few pics from our last game:

Some of the girls goofing of during warm-ups.

Team Captains.

The girls and me after our last game. I had Smith's Bakery make them each a jersey cookie with their number on it...yummy!

Doctor Appt./Lucy & Carter

4 month doctor appt. She got 3 shots again and only cried for a second...she's so tough.

I don't know why Sarah looked scared in all the pictures...she really wasn't...she loves other kids...she was smiling the whole time.

Cake Decorating Weekend

This past weekend was full of cake decorating. First, on Saturday, I went to Renee Villanueva's where we, the presidency, put together and decorated cute little doll cakes for each of the YW. We used fondant to make the dresses which was so fun. I had never used fondant before and never knew why anyone would use it because it is gross, but now I know...it is so FUN to play with! I guess it keeps the cake really moist too.
I took pictures with Ashlynn's camera so I don't have the pictures yet, but I will get them and post them later.
Here is a picture of a doll cake I found online...ours were similar.

Then, Saturday night and Sunday after noon I made hockey puck cakes for Brody's birthday. I put picture up in my last post.

Happy Birthday Day!

Today is Brody's 3rd Birthday, Karl's 61st birthday, and it is also Sarah's 4 month birthday.

We celebrated Brody's birthday on Sunday at my mom's house with a yummy family dinner. Brody is a HUGE Condor's fan so I made him a Condor's hockey puck cake and some little hockey puck cakes. He and Michael were so excited! Brody got lots of fun new toys including a tricycle, a battery powered motorcycle, and David and I got him a rug with roads and stuff on it so he can play with his cars on it.

Sarah cuddling with Grandma

For Karl's birthday we went to Hungry Hunter. It was D-licious as usual! For his gift this year David took his truck up to Ryan's to replace the back bumper with the nice brand new one from Ryan's Bronco. Uncle David helped him hook up the wires. I made him a card and we put a picture of the finished job inside. After dinner we came back to our house and had cake and talked to Maryellen and Brandon on Skype.

Here is the truck after...if you don't remember what it looked like before refer back to an older post HERE

I guess Sarah wasn't impressed with Hungry Hunter...she decided to sleep through dinner. Wouldn't it be nice to be small enough to curl up on a chair like that?

Miss Sarah at 4 months!

She went to the Doctor today and she is 25.5 inches long and weighs 13 lbs. 7 oz.

She's Laughing!

My little girl laughed! And not just any laugh...I true belly laugh. She has been kind of laughing for about a month or more, but this week she giggled and it was so funny! The first time she laughed at Brody when he fell and also when he was throwing sand. She thought he was SO funny! The second time was last night at the Mormal dinner...Bro. Cola was pretending to hiccup and she was cracking up! I came home and tried the hiccup thing and she just stared at me like I was crazy. It is the sweetest sound and I can't wait for her to do it again and again.

Pretty in Pink

Some pictures of Sarah...and she happens to be wearing PINK in all of them.

Happy girl!
I love these new jeans. Thanks, Mom!

I think she is starting to teeth a little. If not, she just loves to chew on things.

Watching the fan. She LOVES the fan! Weird girl.

After church photo op. She spit up on her dress right before we took these pictures.

Daddy and Sarah in the Morning...those are my favorite pajamas!
(if anyone knows where I can find pajamas without feet let me know... Sarah is really tall...I don't know where she gets that from)
